question on supplements
I was just wondering what fish oil capsules were used for. I see them mentioned a lot in mags and was just wondering. I have 360 gel capsules that are 1000mg each. How should I take them? I'm trying to cut up right now, so do I use them for when I'm not eating fats or what? Might be dumb ?.....Also I'm takin the amino acid arginine tryin to get a little more veiny. How much should I take a day of that I have 90 capsules at 1000mg. Thanks for help guys/gals...

Fish oil is normally taken for its omega 3 fatty acid contents. Helps with the hdl cholesteral and overall circulatory health. Normally take couple a day.
Not a significant source of calories. Normally taken just before a meal to prevent the fishing burp syndrome. |

1 gram of fish oil is about 14 calories, all from fat. Unless you are a 10 lb infant, taking two of those in a day is insignificant to your overall calorie consumption.
Omega 3 fatty acids, which fish oil has a high percentage of, are not found in a modern diet nearly to the extent that they were when our ancestors were eating venison, buffalo, and other grazing animals. Long term use of fish oil could/would have some beneficial benefits to your circulatory system so I take some form of omega 3s on a daily basis. |

Pimp! Thanks Cornfed...Ever used arginine? Its supose to remove ammonia from the body which is a waste product from protein metabolism. But most importantly for me in that it helps maintain blood vessel tone. So hoping I get a little more vascular on it....dunno..guess we'll see
