Your not eating enough Al, your body will go into starvation mod and all but shut down your metabolism, along with consuming muscle for energy.

I know im not eating enough. But remember I am on the atkins diet as well. Today I did do better though. For bfast a scoop of peanutbutter, lunch 12 wings an 8 oz sirloin with broc, dinner 12 wings 16 oz prime rib with veggies and a ceaser salad. Is that better?

got to bring the food to work you need to recover. wether it be protein shakes / carb drinks, or pre-prepaired meals

here is an avg day for me meal wise - AVERAGE

AM before work (7) Dozen eggs, two bagels, yogurt
(over 1500 cals)

10:00AM Protein shake, egg protein + egg whites + peanut butter (70 gram), carb fuel or similar 100 gram / 400 calorie complex carbohydrate beverage.

12:30PM Three chicken breasts, two potatoes, gluatmine etc (lunch at my house)

3:00PM Protein shake / carb drink / yogurt

7:00PM two cans of tuna, little bit brown rice, cereal bar / muffin etc

9:15/9:30 (post training) 100 gram carb beverage, small protein drink of diff brand / type

10:15-10:30 big meal (whole chicken / pasta / etc etc)

12:00 Protein shake -

sleep

thats 8 meals. you can do 7 or even 6 and get by fine.

Amp, are these meals wise for someone trying to lose 100 pounds? Hell I look at carbs and I gain weight.

No bro they're not. That's for the most part a bb'er's diet. If I were trying to lose weight, I would go on a high protein / low to moderate range high complex carbohydrate diet. I've a fast metabolism and can handle the high cal diet.

Just remember Big Al, keep your protein high, saturated fats low, complex carbs moderate to low, and your simple carbs at ZERO. Best way to diet imo bc it doesnt fuck with your metabolism. The idea here is to eat lean.

Al, keep your protein intake per day at .8 - 1.0 gram per pound of ideal body weight. By this I mean if you weight 300 lbs and are shooting for 225 lbs then you need to consume 180-225 grams of protein a day (divided into 6 or 7 small meals a day). Keep your carbs low and eat the bulk of them early in the day.
Do your cardio in the am before your first meal, this will get the metabolism up and by eating a small meal every 2 hours or so you'll keep it up through out the whole day. Never go more than 3 hours without a meal or your metabolic rate will start to slow down. Keeping the metabolism in high gear thru out the day is the name of the game here. Isn't great that you have to EAT to lose?!!

Hey Flatline thanks for the info. Nobody has broken it down like that for me before. Im gonna try and get into some kinda carbs and see what happens. I am one of those people "according to my doctor" I am carbo-intolerent. If I have some I crave them even more. Its funny on the Atkins since I dont have them I dont crave them at all.
