Personally, I think they are both a big waste of time. Creatine makes me bloated and thats about it. Glutamine makes my wallet lighter and thats about it. I would rather spend my money on protein poweder and food. I never saw any advantage to glutamine even when taking 40 grams a day. Protein is protein in my opinion.

Some people, and I am not one of them, will gain a lot of water mass when on creatine. This will make them look like they have more muscle. Because of the lubricity properties of all of that water in your muscles, they may even be able to lift more. However, when they stop taking creatine, all of that water, its mass and lubrication goes away, leaving you back at square one.
There is a small possibility that because it is a fuel, with creatine you could work out harder. I am not sure that is true, but since creatine is really really cheap, it could be worthwhile to take. Neither glutamine or creatine works even 5% as well as food. |
