Post creatine loading/water intake

I am currently 5'6", 135lbs. I am trying to put on much more muscle mass, and i started to take creatine monohydrate. I skipped the loading phase, and i currently take 2.5 grams everyday. I have done this for 1 week now. I heard that the loading phase was not necessary, but should i have done it.. or should i still do it (in week 2)? If not, should i up the dosage to 5 grams instead of 2.5?

About water intake, i usually get about 100oz of water a day. is that sufficient?

any answeres are appreciated.

Loading Creatine is a waste of time and of money. Just go ahead and stick with the rec. dosage. Yes, drink as much water as possible, Creatine tends to Dehydrate the body. Good to see you here at True Muscle.

Hey buddy , I would have an intake of atleast 10-14 grams a day in divided doses.. your creatine receptors, are downgraded for atleast 6 hours after intake... also the best time to take it is after you work out.. once you have gained a few lbs.. you can taper down, but still take it atleast 2 times a day. once in morning and bed or after workout.. hope this helps
