This is an oral anabolic steroid primarily popular with womee. It's no surprise, then, to learn that it was made through altering 19-nor-testosterone (Nandrolone), a steroid which has been very popular with female athletes for the past two decades. Orabolin is a type of 17-alpha-alkylated version of Nandrolone, which simply means that it has been modified from the original form to survive oral administration. Orabolin has a reasonably high anabolic rating (between 200 and 400), and although it's androgenic rating is roughly the same, female users report very few virilizing effects from administration of this compound. Male athletes have reported few side effects as well, and acne, high blood pressure, water retention, and hair loss are not usually associted with this compound. Unfortunately, Orabolin does not bind particularly well to the androgen receptors, and so although it's derived from Nandrolone, it would appear to have much more in common with Nilevar, another Nandrolone derived oral steroid. This may be due in part to Orabolin's ability to actually convert into Nilevar once it's ingested.
It is very rare that this drug would be used alone, and when it finds its way into an athlete's cycle, it often does so as one of many compounds. Ideally, it would always be used in conjunction with testosterone, and perhaps Equipoise or Trenbolone during a cutting cycle. When athletes use this drug in a bulking cycle, it is often used along with testosterone and sometimes even another type of Nandrolone like deca-durabolin. Frequently another oral is added in to a bulking cycle, such as anadrol50 or dianabol, but since both of those two drugs are also alpha-alkylated, using them with Orabolan may put unnecessary stress on your liver. On bulking cycles, generally another compound would be utilized to minimize bloating and other possible estrogenic effects. Arimidex and Exemestane have been reportedly by athletes for this purpose with Orabolin.
