Thumbs up Spicy Italian Seafood Stew!

Spicy Italian Seafood Stew!

Makes 5 servings,

3/4 cup onion, diced
2 tsp garlic, finely minced
2 tsp olive oil
1 can (15 0z) low-sodium crushed tomatoes
1 can (8 oz) no-salt added tomato sauce
1/2 tsp crushed hot red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp dried basil
1 tsp sugar
1/2 lb fish fillets (any lean fish like snapper, orange roughy, ect.)
1/2 lb shelled shrimp ( or any seafood, calamari, lobster)with crab legs watch the sodium.

Place onions in large pot and add 2 inches of water. Boil until onions are tender, about 15 minutes. Drain water and put onions in seperate bowl.

In small bowl, mix the minced garlic and olive oil. Place in large pot (used first)
Cook until you smell garlic-do not let it turn golden brown (it will become bitter).
At this point, lower the heat to a simmer
and add the boiled onions, Stir.

Add the crushed tomatoes, tomatoe sauce, crushed hot red pepper flakes, black pepper, basil, and sugar. Stir well. Let simmer for 15-20 minutes.

Add seafood and fish and stir. Cover and let simmer 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Next step take a minute and enjoy, let me know how you liked it.

Later,
