~R~F~G~ A transformation....
You all konw by now my original board name was ReformedFatGuy. Well you may not have seen the transformation. Here's the story and the pics to go with it...
Thanks ~R~F~G~ In 2003 I decided to quit smoking after 23 years, was always overweight and was frankly sick of that too. When I quit smoking I started to gain more weight so I went on a diet at the same time. After about 8 months I lost about 105#. Cardio and a poor diet did it that fast. After getting down to 165# I thought I was done. Here I was finally NOT FAT... What I did not see was that I was feeble looking and very unhealthy. Someone in the gym told me I look like a "Crackhead" I was so skinny. So after that I learned proper nutrition and a dedicated workout with weights and little to no more cardio I have reached 225#.... ... Who knew quitting smoking would lead me to Body Building. Of course with out the support of my Beautiful wife none of this would have been possible. Also the people of BeyondMass.com..And the other boards I ultimatly joined and now either MOD on or have reached VET Status..... I try to keep myself motivated each day to keep moving forward. I will never be finished. Now I am working on losing BF with a Targeted Keto Diet. Next I will bounce into a Timed carb diet to keep off the fat I took off on the TKD, right now I am primarily doing reps and soon enough I wall fall back to doing heavy weight. Or a mutant workout that is both. Back-Heavy/Chest-Light/Legs Heavy Next week is Back-light/Chest-Heavy/Legs-Light. Light is by no means light, it's just 12-10-8 instead of 5-3-1. I try to keep my body guessing. No 2 weeks are ever the same. The SINGLE biggest lesson I got in all this is DIET. With out a proper one your sunk. That 1 or 2 hours in the gym is easy if you compare it to eating right 24/7. It all comes down to commitment, how committed are you? My wife thinks I should be committed some days but she loves it when I take my clothes off... Very Happy For you to keep track of you diet you need to own a scale. I dont care who you are I will argue this point to the end. If your counting your calories and watching your macronutrient intake you cannot assume what you put on your plate is what you need. You need to weight it. I turned a corner when I introduced a scale to my diet. My weight went up and my bf went down cause I seen I was eating to much of one and not enough of another. Spend the 50 bucks on a 500 to 1000g digital scale. You'll thank me that you did. Ok, enough of that. You wanna see pics. lol.. 270ish before.jpg 165ish skinnyforbm.jpg This was 06 @ 225lbs myspace2.jpg 07 @ a BW of 212 500lbswcbb.jpg 07 BW 212 abs.JPG |

Impressive RFG. Great transformation !!! Yes, the hardest part for me is the diet, most of us talk a lot about lifting weights, supps and steriods, but it's nothing without the proper diet and you bro are proof of that, congrats !!!

That's a helluva transformation, ~R~F~G~! Fat to skinny to ripped and strong. You're a great example of what can be done with dedication and know-how.
