Hypothetically speaking of course, if you order something internationally you can let it sit in your mailbox for several weeks, making sure to run out the ten days of a search warrant, and then pick it up in the middle of the night? This would be the smart thing to do, right? Is there a better way?

All search warrants are different, 10 days to expire is not set in stone, thats up to the judge.

Grabbing you at the post office would be a pain in the ass. Your little private use order worth a few hundred bucks isn't enough to justify staking out the post office with officers who will recognize you. Just go pick up your stuff.

Yeah if they want you they will get you they would just make you sign for it or leave a note to say get from counter .. If its a home mailbox then the mail person would more then likely take it back if it sat that long .. Plus they will and do manipulate the law for their proposes

if you order something that has to be picked up from the post office, just pick it up. there is no point in being ultra paranoid unless you're selling, and even so, you probably would have to be selling a lot to get that much special attention. if they wanna bust for juicing, that's kinda the risk you take. but, worse comes to worse, you might have to piss in a cup for six months.

I agree with the above as well. They really can't do that with rec's, because in that business if you rat, the supplier will kill your ass, and the fed's know it, so they will usually be happy with a bust and handle it locally with whatever the standard punishment for posession is (if it's a small amount).

It's not like a cop will find a joint or a little bag of weed on you and put you in the interrogaton room with FBI and the swat team will kick your doors in with a search warrant, and question you as to where you got it from.

Whereas with Anabolic cases, since they are much less common, there isn't really a standard procedure so different states handle it differently.

Technically it is federal, but unless the amount is enormous they will let it go to the smaller local LE, then you're their mercy.

But again, it depends on how they view and want to handle it. Back to the original question, if they find it in the mail, (I've had that happend with a Fed-ex out of Mexico) but this was back in 1994) You will usually get a letter from the Treasury Department, telling you that the package was detained by customs, and that whatever was sent without the proper documentation and threfore will be destroyed with in 3 weeks or so unless you produce the proper importation papers, etc. etc, etc.

But laws have changed a little since then, so it could be different now, eventhough I've heard it's about the same. Again it depends on what they want to do with it.

back to the question...it really doesnt matter how long you wait...generally speaking, a search warrant is good for 10 days once signed...but you dont know when it was signed...

sure you can leave it at the PO for awhile and I would. then go get it at nite and hide the shit out of it for 10 more days once picked up so no one can find it...and keep house clean...thats generally a safe way to do something that is not safe.
