Anyone know if Anonymizer is worth the $100-$200 a year? Is anything at all truly "anonymous?"

annonamizer sucks. try the steganos, brother. much, much better.

Dont bother with any of that, try a program called thor. it uses onion routing and sends your ip addy all over the world though different protocals, then you also use anonymouse . the combination of the two should provide more protection then a VPN

I use the tor/vidalia/privoxy bundle with firefox. Slows you down but anonymizer and other paid services route your data through their servers and are not secure from warrants.

how secure is something like that?

would there be any advantages that could be had using a linux box to surf? (i know very little about linux, but just set up a system to play around with - pclinuxos)
