The question is whether it was their interperation of MLAT legal and can it be used in court. If they didn't have sufficient enough evidence to do that then it could be stricken from evidence.

True. But why take the chance? I don't want to deal with a company who will hand my emails over to LE. At least, not as easily as I assume Hush did. Are there any email companies based in less friendly countries? Perhaps the middle east?

what exactly did they hand over? Was it the emails between the DEA and the source only? Or was it other emails also? And how did the DEA find out that the powder source he was using was GLP? I thought they would need the pass phrase in order to decrypt emails? A little confused here as to how they did this. Did Hush somehow get his pass phrase?

I made another post somewhere about new security measures people are taking to avoid situations like this.This whole mess could have been avoided if things were done different.Its too late now too say,"I should have" or "I could have".What happened has happened and LE caught the community by somewhat a surprise.I think most of us knew this mess was going to happen sooner or later because things were running wayyyyyyyy to easy.Certain boards were "like a phonebook of sources" as I saw in another members thread.Its time to tighten the fu^^ down so hard that it takes a miracle to get on someones client list.
Although LE has collected enough info I'm sure to know who the big players are and how the show is run...but yet they always fail to realize a few things.One being that,where there's a will theres a way.If a certain person wants to get something done and they have the intelligence to pull it off,they will do it.I'm sure that in a few days someone will step up to the plate and deliever what is needed to this community.New ways of ordering,new ways of payment,etc...
Its always a rotating and constent battle,to drive forward and put forth the faith that is needed in times like this.All is not lost ladies and gentlemen.Now is the time that the trusted few must join together,put away the problems and focus on the future.
