Was asked by CubanChick to drop in and sign up. Who wants to argue with a Cuban Princess?

A bit about me;

I am almost 46 years old, and probably in the best shape of my life. I was always the skinny, 90lb weakling when I was growing up and all through my 20's and 30's. Even though I worked in Corrections and Law Enforcement, size was just something I never had or ever thought I could achieve. I read all the Muscle & Fitness magazines, bought the Weider Weight Gain supp's. I thought that these things would make hardgainers like me blow up! I learned, as have many others, I just wasted money and time. Once I left Law Enforcement to raise a family, I was able to add size. The wrong type of size. At 5'10", eating one meal a day and not exercising at all, I was able to move from my normal 150lbs to 199lbs! Yep! I bulked up all right. When I was staring at size 36" waist jeans, I decided to get my a$$ in gear. I joined a gym, changed my diet, signed up on forums, and made a dedicated effort with my routine. In 3 years, I dropped from 199 to 165.

This was me at around 165:

Since that time, I have taken up Tae Kwon Do. I compete with teens, young adults, and old dudes my age. I never thought, at 45, that I could be any good in a sport that is so athletic and requires so much flexibility and speed. Yet, I have taken 3 Gold trophies in the competitions I have entered!

I look forward to getting to know this site. I am not an exercise guru or dietician. I know what has worked for me and I know what I have read and practiced. Now........ off to check out more threads....
