New To Board! Please Help!
Hey guys,
Im new to this board. I have been searching the web and this looks like a good place to post some questions. First, let me start by saying that I am a Fitness Trainer. And after several long years of Lifting, Running, Jumping, Walking, Swimming, Squating, Lunging, Twisting .....you get the picture. I am now suffering from lower back pain and aching joints. It feels as if my legs and calves are on fire!!! I have recently cut down my clients and taken up Pilates. (First mistake) I then did an extended vacation to St. Louis, Atlanta, Virginia Beach. (There I ate food that I had never touched before.) Fried Ravioli, Mozzeralla cheese Sticks, Snickers Cheese Cake, Cappauchino, Creamed Pies, Egg Rolls, Spaghetti, (get the picture) I packed on a whopping 15 pounds onto my 5' frame and 106 pounds. This is the heaviest I have been and I don't like it. So I have a few questions: I was reading somewhere about allowing your body into going into Ketosis (sp) I have always eaten high protein, but used EFA no trans fatty fats. Would Ketosis be a good way to lose this weight quickly? I was thinking about trying this diet for 2 weeks. Meal 1 Protein shake 30 grams (Whey) or 4 egg whites 2 slice bacon Meal 2 Protein shake 30 grams (whey) or 4 egg whites 2 slice bacon Meal 3 5 oz Sweet Spicy Tuna 1 cheese Stick Meal 4 5 oz Sweet Spicy Tuna 1 cheese Stick Meal 5 4 oz (about 3 chicken legs) 1/2 cup cottage cheese or another cheese stick I already drink about 1 gallon and half of water a day (can someone review this) I will still take my Borage Seed, Flax Seed, Calcium, Fish Oil, B-12, Chromium. Next question, Can anyone recommend a supplement that may aid in the joint pain that I am having? I am currently using MSM with Glucosimine. I have to do mineral bath every night and rub down with Thersagesic. It doesn't help that I also have Sciatic Nerve pain every night. I have gone to several specailist, Chiropractors, Massage Therapist. |

Keto diets are half of what could be a total body composition change for the better.

1st off Welcome to the Forum! 2nd I've done the Keto diet myself and it worked well for me. I gained muscle and lost bodyfat, and my body composition did change but not drastically, and that's only because I maintain an 8-10% Bodyfat level year round..
