drinking and training
alright well i am still a young guy, just turned 20, and on the weekends i do a lot of partying. some nights i can say i have drank 18 and up beers. how bad is this for my training? everyone always says shouldn't drink, setting back your gains, but how is that? i know after a weekend of partying and i go to run the first mile it sucks and i can barely do it.

Drinking will affect your performances and also the effects of AAS.
You don't need to give up your social life but don't get drunk. Drink in moderation and think about your liver if you're running AAS. |

Drinking kills your liver,
Adds alot of unhealthy carbs to your body and Worst of all raises your estrogen levels. If your on the gear lay off the booze. Just my 2 cc's |

18 beers in one night - your liver hates you...
If you make yourself train the next day, you'll SUFFER! LOL And maybe that's what you need to do to realize it's not good. Hell, you'll probably puke. You also might want to ask yourself why you need to get thatdrunk. Some people who are so shy can't socialize without getting hammered. It's a shame, and it certainly doesn't make you popular with the ladies. Trust me, I went through a phase like that when I was your age. It will get worse unless you focus on things that make you happy without getting wasted. |

few little facts i saw!
Drinking alcohol will: * increase your risk of dehydration as alcohol has a diuretic effect, in other words it increases urine output * give you problems with body heat regulation - particularly important for endurance athletes * reduce your blood sugar levels so your energy levels are lowered; this can be a problem with longer periods of exercise * reduce your endurance, strength and speed * increase your risk of injury |

I Agree With All Of You. Alcohol Does Leave The Body Very Quickly. I Think The Liver Will Process It First. A Drink Once In Awhile Is Ok. If Your On Orals, Don't Drink At All. I Also Stick To Low Calorie, Low Sugar Drinks. Beer Has Way Too Much Sugar And Carbs. Moderation And Control Is The Factor.

Youre still pretty young... but alot of habits and lifestyles really sink in during your twenties... Your metabolism will slow down in the coming years as well. Youre putting almost 2000 extra calories into your body in one night of your heavy drinking, and thats if its light beer!

At 20 you are too young to be on aas at all. You seem like a nice young guy but I was 20 once and brinkman...I was a heavy drinker at your age and speak from experience. Rolled my car 300 feet over a mountain in Independence KY and had to be cut out with an acetyline torch. As soon as I was out of the hospital, I was drinking again, so I know how much discipline most 20 year olds have....very little. ![]() I haven't touched an alcoholic beverage in 20 years. |
