25 Grand for a replica? That seems to be a little bit ridiculous to me. It's not like it's a '59 Les Paul Gold Top.....it's a "replica".

Now the original.....that's another story...

I agree.... 25k for a replica. No way. I don't care if it is a 300 piece run. Thing is that his original was a fender neck on a boogie body with a re-wound Gibson PAF pickup. So the replica isnt really "correct".

I saw a Chet Atkins replica that was 1 of a couple hundred maybe, that was going for 45! But was on sale for 35!!!!! That was nuts!

Thats nucking futs... 25 grand!!! I have a pretty good collection of guitars going and if I add them all up it would be around 15 grand in guitars. There is no way I would pay 25 for a replica of anything.

The same reason for a 12-stringer, it adds to the "fullness" of the guitar.
We all know about the dynamics of a power chord, so if you double the strings, you get a bigger sound.

On top of all that, it looks cool.
