Just wonderin' what you, guys, eat after a workout. I know that I should eat proteins and carbs but I can't figure out which foods are best.

Thx for your help!

I am on 6 meals a day to hit 4000 calories. After my workout is meal 5...around 7 pm. That for me is 8 ounces of chicken, cup of rice, 2 cups of salad..2 hours later its a shake and then the rack for zzzzz's.

With an evening workout, I usually try to take in some whey ASAP after a workout and with in the hour have a full meal. Since I started working out in the mornings I eat a good size breakfast with eggs, oatmeal and a piece of fruit.

I usually have a whey protein shake immediately after the workout and 1 hour or 2 later, I eat salmon or tuna and a sweet potato.
At bedtime, it's cottage cheese with whey.
Is it OK?

For me it's a protein shake right after the workout. About an hour later it's 2 full chicken breasts and either some rice or vegi's. Or both, depends on the day and how hungery I am...

Miss D. If you like it and it works for you. Then its OK. Sounds like it would work to me.
