Overtrained?
I have flu-like symptoms since yesterday: aching (burning) muscles, general fatigue, painful joints, etc etc.
Could these symptoms be a sign of overtraining? I do a 5-day split routine and cardio on rest days. Thank you for giving me some advice on this. My routine looks like this: Monday: Chest/bis Tuesday: Shoulders Wednesday: Legs Thursday: Back Friday: tris/forearms Saturday: HIIT cardio Sunday: HIIT cardio ![]() |

What you doing looks alright to me, I think JR could be right on. There is alot of gunk going around right now. I would take a day or two off. Don't do anything but rest and get a ton of fluids and see how you feel then.

Thank you, guys.
I do feel better now. I have increased my daily dosage of vit.C too. I didn't have my flu jab done in november like I used to b/c I was ill at the time I was supposed to get it. |

I got my flu shot for the first time in about 5 years this year and have had more colds and feeling shitty, so next year I'm skipping it. J.R.

Yes, that's exactly why I hesitate so much each year when the time comes to have that flu jab.
In the past, whenever I had that shot, I had the flu (but a different one from the one for which I got the shot). I also once developped an allergy to the vaccine and had a bad reaction (my left arm was swollen for days). |
