I believe this is the best kind of cardio cause it allows you to burn fat throughout the day. Wit longer cardio, you`ll burn most of you calories during workout, and you`ll sacrifice some muscle a it doesn`t help boost metabolism, but wit shorter, high intensity cardio, you don`t burn as many calories diring your workout, but your metabolism increases for hours after, and you don`t sacrifice as much muscle.

When I cut, I do cardio 4 days a week for 1 hour on an empty stomach. Intense sessions. I always like to stack my cutting cycle with some kind of test since its the only thing that will help you maintain muscle in a low caloric state.

I ALWAYS keep my intensity LOW on cardio for fatburning (in the 65-70% MHR) it works well for me with out burning muscle up. Its just enough to get you breathing through your mouth but you can still talk and you sweat too but not enough to make you gasp for air.

2 cardio exercises I use are Jumping rope and Light bag work. Just 15 minutes of rope jumping and you burn about 250+ calories. I usually go for 3 15 minute sessions (which burns about 750 + calories) with the rope then hit the bag for 3 3 minute rounds.
This helps keep speed andendurance levels up and burns the extra fat at a good rate. I am also planning on adding some 1/Half mile morning runs 3 x a week as well. I am not really worried about the fat yet, I am concentrating on adding some good bulk and then burn the extra fat of later.
