Question What motivated every body to take up fitness or weight training?

What motivated everybody to get into fitness or weight training?
AS a kid I was always fasinated with strongmen. Watched Pumping Iron and was hooked on the weights. I also love to watch the StrongMen competitions on Espn.

For me personally it was sports...I grew up down SOUTH lovin' football(best sport in the world)and been playin since 2nd grade. Always loved hitting people, I played some WR, Corner, and some FreeSafety....tried some LB but wasn't big enough in HighSchool at 6'2" and 190#....Had a few scholarships until I was kicked out of schoolmy Senior year for skipping too much class.

By the way does anyone knowwhere to get PUMPING IRON, have looked everywhere and cannot find it.

PEACE**********************************LATERS

As a kid my attitude did not fit my body type, I was a very determined tough and very physical kid, I played ball and did martial arts but I was still vere skinny. As I progressed to high school, I was still very skinny if it was not because of my arrogance and martial arts skills I would be what you concider a "nerd". A friend of mymine got me in to the gym and we started to work out with weights...I gave everything else up and keep pumping iron, I loved the way it made me feel and I keep it up since.
