question about diet???
I have been working out really hard lately since baseball season has begun, and i know that its best to eat 5-6 meals a day,but my question is,a bro at the gym said to eat a pbj sandwich at least 2x a day if possiable,I know the benefits of peanut butter, but is this true,i have been eating the sugar free bread, sugarfree peanut butter, and sugarfree jam,so I am eatting as little of sugar as possiable, also he said that i could eat fruit with each meal also,i know some fruit has high sugar values also, can i get as much in put from the well knowledged bros on your opinions,I am trying to lose approx 15more lbs,but I am getting much leaner,I am able to see veins now in my calfs and arms but the ap fat(gut fat)is not going anywhere, answer?more cardio?I dont do much cardio b/c after doing a doubleheader just about everyday I lose approx 10 lbs of water and its hard work,so help,

I definitly feel that a good natural peanut butter is an asset to any diet plan. As far as the jelly goes, there is no beneficial macronutriant qualities that I am aware of. As long as it is a "no suger added" version then I dont see a huge problem, especially if it means you will eat the peanut butter. Fruit is good in moderation, after you practices/games is the best time to eat it.
I would recommend not adding more cardio. You probably already get plenty with basketball. I played strong forward back in high school and remember all the running . |

Sorry, read your first post pretty fast. I never played competitive baseball, so I cant really say how much running is involved.....Definitly, consider eating fruit (or any simple carb) after your games and workouts.
