Trying to get some ideas.

I'm looking to bake some chicken breasts, I wanted to cook them in a bed of brown rice.
What I wanted to find out is, should I steam the rice first? I have this great rice cooker and it steams the rice perfectly, I am unsure how the rice would come out if I baked it from a raw state.

Also, any suggestions on a third ingredient, such as Cream of Mushroom soup or maybe stewed tomatoes?

Thanks.

Fresh tomaotes would be a better choice, less sodium. Thos cans are packed with salt.. Unless you can find one thats low sodium.

I would broil the chicken, steam the rice and then cover the chicken with the tomatos, basil and fresh garlic....

Cream of anything tastes great but has alot of simple carbs..

Thanks, I forgot about the sodium. The combo of tomatoes, basil and garlic sounds good, I'll have to get some more spices.

Thanks again.
