Beta-agonists ( Ephedrine, Caffeine, Adrenaline)
Apparently what's good for the goose isn't good for the gander.
Women have more alpha-2 receptors on their lower body than men, which makes lower body fat less active on women. Beta-agonists, such as ephedrine, caffeine, and adrenaline do not increase lower body fat breakdown in women, but they do in men. It's thought to be because of the prevalence of alpha-2 receptors in women's lower body. However, this only differs during rest, ther isn't any difference during exercise. I find the stair stepper to be my best bet (it builds a nice ass too). Estrogen is also to blaim too, as it ensures and protects lower body fat in women. Therefore, estrogen blockers are also shown to help women. If you control your insulin levels just through your diet, and restricting carbs, your alpha-2 receptors will become more sensitive. Keep in mind you gain body fat like a bottle fills up, and loose it just the opposite. So, of course your lower body will follow along shortly after your upper body. You can still, as a woman, use beta-agonists to reduce upper body fat, and your body will then be forced to use the lower body fat as fuel. Just a fun unfortunate fact.
