Caloric intake?

17, and sittin at 6'1 190. Ive was recently thinking about taking steroids, when some guys on the forum steered me away from it, at least for now. They told me Protein, and lots of calories. well ive been drinking two protein shakes a day along with 5 mg of Creatine a day, and it seems no use...i work out harder than hell, but still....growth just seems slow. Abotu ayear ago, i was a litle fat, only ebcause i was siting at 5'10, s o i started cutting down on my eating, and everything started evening out. But now, i want to get alot more muscle mass()im already pretty built, just not built enough), but am afraid if i eat the wrong things ,and the wrong times, t hat i might go back to my old self...and idont want that, especially at this age. During the past year or so, i have only been intaking around a thousand or so calories a day, is this too little? Ive heard aroundth eforum, MOre calories more calories more calories. But doesnt this make you fat? this summer i plan on eat, sleeping, and living for weightlifting. I need to gain about 20 or 30 lbs. but i dont want it to go to the wrong places. (for a football scholarship) Is ther eany way to achieve my goal in a 2-3 month period? if so, could you direct me to any dietary plans for gaining sheer mass? Id appreciate ANY help on this, as i plan on writing my workout within the next couple of weeks.

Thanks alot,
Rock90

tattoojr is an unknown quantity at this point
I don't know if your goal is achivable in a couple months, but I do know that if you are getting only 1000 cals. a day you are robbing yourself of any shot at getting any weight gains.I beleive that to put on some poundage you need to eat for the weight you wish to get. That means that if you want 210lbs. then you have to eat 210x18 or 20 cal.a day which would be 4000cals.And you can do a search and find out what to eat and when to eat. Most of the people on this board will discourage someone as young as you against using AAS, they are looking out for your best interest as you have not quit growing yet and you could do more damage than good. You can look up some old post from Shine I think about growth plates and make your own choices. The one thing that everyone agrees with on this board is that unless you have a good diet, get the proper rest, and work your ass off in the gym no amount of gear will do you any good. So my advice to you is EAT,EAT and EAT some more and the size will come. J.R.
