Need help with Protien
Ok I am trying to lose some weight around the middle. I have changed my diet and I have been going to the gym 5 days a week 2 hours a day for 7 months. I just started my cardio up again so that is 5 days a week 30 mins a day. Someone told me to start taking some protien shakes so I have been for about 3 days now. I take 1 shake 3 times a day. about 42 grams of protien per shake. I have to say I feel fat and bloated all the time now. Feel like i have to go to the bathroom 24/7. Is this normal? will this go away? I just feel really bloated and feel like I am filled with gas. Someone please let me know if this is normal and will go away once my body adjusts. I have never used any sort of suppliments before so this is a first. Just as an fyi I am not fat just looking to trim down. Forgot to add that the protien I am takeing is Whey 2. My BF was 37% now is 16% want to get down to 8% and I am on my way. I am 6'2, 208. PLEASE HELP, my wife is going to disown me if I keep this stomach thing up.l ![]() |

protien help
bro, try cutting yor protien shakes to 2 a day 1 after your workout and 1 at the other end of yor day, i do it before bed but this will not aid you i weight loss. also try maybe half the amount of protien you are using per shake, sounds like your taking in to much at one time. we are all diffrent in the amount of protien our bodies can absorb at one time. also it sounds like your spending alot of time at the gym, if you over train you will lose muscle mass and feel weak and lethargic.i would suggest you cut back on your trainig time and up your intensity. spare nothing. good luck

thanks for the info. but i have to say that I have had awsome results with my routine. in over 7mnths I have put 3 inches on my bi's 2.5 inches on my chest and lost 2 inches on my waiste. So i am keeping it up. I still am achieving great gains. As far as the protien shake goes I am doing the recomended dose. Iwant to take more. so this isn't something that will just go away as my body adjusts?

YOU'VE ONLY BEEN DOING THE PROTIEN SHAKES FOR THREE DAYS. LET YOUR BODY ADJUST. ALSO ARE YOU MIXING YOUR SHAKES WITH WATER OR MILK? I WOULD SUGGEST YOU TAKE IN A FAIR AMOUNT OF PROTIEN FROM REAL FOODS NOT ALL FROM THE SHAKES.

Bean-O or Gas-X will stop some of the gas, as others have posted give your body a chance to adjust ,it will it just takes time.
