Antibiotics and muscle breakdown?
I heard that antibiotics breakdown muscle tissue. I try to avoid them in general, but recently had to take Zithromax for bacterial bronchitis. Anyone know how much damage they do? Would working out while on them further damage muscle? I had a great workout the other day, then thought: OH SHIT, what if I'm just destroyig myself. This topic is kind of obscure, and I really have no clue how bad the zithromax is for muscle. Anyone know?

Most inhibit protein synthesis and by there mechanisim of action stop or slow down new cell growth. (Keep prtotein high in your diet!) IMO
But the point is if you need em to get over an infection take em, you can't be to effective in the weight room when your sick. You might back off on the training (train lightly) and lower the amount of sets.
