I tend you agree with what AMP says too, I always eat a good portion of complex carbs in every meal, and right before I work out, I find it gives me not only more energy to lift but also I can lift heavier, and I stay pumped longer....plus I don't get as fatigued throughout the day!!!!

Indeed. This as a result of balanced insulin levels. You will also find you hold pumps longer with a good portion of complex carbs in your diet. Complex carbs provide sustained and balanced insulin levels which have been proven to be a vital part of any bodybuilders' regimine. Fats, unsaturated or saturated, do not effect insulin levels whatsoever. This my friend is the reason carbs are a much better source of energy (primarily) than fats.

This is definately true amp. Carbs are the prefered energy source. My main point was to make sure that people realize that when they are bulking, unsaturated fat is not an enemy. It does alot of positive things for the body.

True, having said that, even SOME saturated fat isn't bad for the body while bulking. Having control over your carb intake is invaluable though, as it is what effects your insulin levels which allows your muscles to grow.
