Post The Power of Glutamine

As bodybuilders we are always looking to improve our body whether by training or proper nutrition. Taking every necessary step to give us that extra edge is what propels our physique to the next level. This is why supplements have become a must of every serious body builder’s diet. Once plateaus are reached supplements give you that extra edge to move onward to accomplish your next goal.

As many of you know one of the cheapest but most beneficial supplements in today’s market is an amino acid called L-Glutamine. This item has become popular among athletes of many ages and sports.

Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid found in our body. Glutamine can be found in many meats and dairy products (milk), and consists of over half of the free amino acids in our muscles. But through serious weight lifting or other intense exercise Glutamine can be depleted up to 50%.

If you train 3 or more times a week there is a good chance that your body does not have the opportunity to replenish its Glutamine levels on a regular basis. This is considered overtraining and can lead to muscle deterioration.

Several ways Glutamine aids recovery is through protein synthesis, glycogen formation, the protection of our immune system, elevation of growth hormone levels, and the prevention of muscle breakdown. The proper amounts of Glutamine taken per day will vary on the individual ranging from 5-20 grams a day. Taking several doses per day particularly during or after your workout and before going to bed will give you the most beneficial results.

In today’s society we are privileged to have such a fast moving technology that allows for the discovery of new and improved supplements to aid us in this generation of bodybuilding. We never know what the future holds in store for the next generation of supplements, but I would count on Glutamine supplementation being around for a long time.

Keep striving for the best and soon you will be the best.

I went to the store today and bought Glutamine and Creatine. I have a couple of questions for you all.

First, Is it OK to take them together, at the same time?

Do you all beleive in loading creatine the first week?

ghostdog is an unknown quantity at this point
You can mix the 2, opinions vary on loading. I have done it both ways and never seen a difference, but everyone is different.

Hey bro 1st, read this link, you will find your answer on front loading or not http://www.degussa-bioactives.com/bi...s_creatine.htm

2nd as Ghost said you can mix them but... why is there always a but. IMO they are both muscle volumeizers so they would be fighting for the same space so... I think it is best to take them 30+ min apart or so. Later Airborne!
