Just did my first show yesterday!
Just did my first show yesterday and damn, just had to say what a rush. Took second in novice lightweight which was sweet considering I had no idea what the hell I was doing. Great learning experience though. I recommend everyone here give a show a shot at least once. It's addictive, I'm allready looking forward to the next one.

Anyone here have some good first show stories? I know there have to be some funny ones cause I looked like I was high or something looking off into the blinding stage lights in all my pics.

Right on brother you deserve a BIG CONGRATS!!

The main thing that sticks out in my mind from my first show ( Winter ' 92 in the southwest) was that I had the most pounding headache, dry heaves, runs.........BUT IT WAS THE ONE OF THE BEST DAYS/NIGHTS OF MY LIFE (took second in the novice light-heavies).

It really is a HYYYYUUUGGGEEE rush to be on stage, to hear your family and friends cheerin you on.....to hearing the applause from the audience.......to really getting into your posing routine while hearing your song. It's almost as if all the eyes on the world are on YOU!!!

Good luck on your second contest brotha as you just got the BB'ing bug in ya!!

After you do your first show It just gets easier to stick to your diet for the second. At least it was for me. You really get use to eating clean. Do you plain on doing a second show?
