Wow LH first I want to wish you a speedy/full recovery from your hip replacement and second just be patient as one of my very close buddies had to get a hip replacement (5 years ago), plus had other major injuries (car accident) and today is competing in the middleweight division and that is on the national level too!!!

Just be patient and follow whatever you are told to do by your doctor and also (this is hard to find but not impossible) get yourself a good PT that is trained in rehabing/weightlifting.

These specialist PT's will be able to help you better train with weights or whatever other apperatus, so that you don't hurt yourself while at the same time push you to your personal physical limits!!

You may not have the same range of motion as you had before, plus strength will be way down, so it will take time to get back on track, but it can be done!!!

Good luck to you LH!!
