Look at R. Kelly, his statutory rape trial has taken 10 years to go to trial. The evidence is so old now that it makes it almost impossible for them to convict him. I would give him a 80% chance of getting off completely.

Some truth to that. I have seen a murder trial specifically drawn out so long that evidence got lost over the years resulting in guilty person walking or getting a slap on the wrist for murder!! Shit happens and things get misplaced over time.
