baffled
i'm cutting now, and so i've restricted my diet to 2500cals ed...at my weight of 235 and activity level, that's still a 1500cal deficit ed just to stay at maintenence, so i figure i'll dump some weight eating this way. i've also started cardio every morning (5x week anyhow) for 1/2hour on an empty stomach. i'll lose bf this way, but i'm also sure i'll dump weight and some lbm too...right?
wrong! i've been going like this for two weeks, and i've gained two lbs., and i'm still getting stronger. i checked my bf today, it's at 17.6%, it was 19.8% when i started. this seems accurate...i'm looking bigger but my waist is getting smaller.
wtf!? i'm not complaining, but can someone tell me how i can gain lbm with less than maintenence for caloric intake?
