Personally (6 years ago) I had success with Hydroxycut, as has my brother (as well as his fiance) ... but if you want a thermo I haven't found anything that can beat good old ECA:

25 mg ephedrine
200 mg caffeine
300 mg asprin

2-3/ed, 30-45 minutes before a workout or meal ... but not after5 PM, or you'll never sleep

Also take off 2 days a weak to prevent your body from developing tachyphalaxis (getting used to a substance so that it doesn't have an effect any longer)

Warning, ECA may give you the shakes ... so might want to start w/ 1-2/ed and work your way up. Also drink tons of water, b/c caffeine and ephedrine are diuretics and thermogenics so you'll both urinate and sweat.

If you're fearful of ECA, BetaLean by EAS is ok, and Xenadrine by Cytodyne is solid as well ... but personally ECA has treated me best.
