It draws water into your muscles which can assist in soothing the muscles.It aslso gives you more leverage to push weight with.about a 10% strength increase.But, the down side is it does nothing to support you ligaments,tendons,etc.So its possible you could have a strain nothing major.When the water leaves your muscles,which happens in a matter of a couple of weeks,you dont have that support.Kinda hard to explain.Just watch form and dont over do it.Rest! <img border="0" alt="[dance]" title="" src="graemlins/dance.gif" />
